Well, so far the year 2011 had been a good one. We have had some milestones with Mac recently. He has learned to sit up and its so nice being able to sit him up with a toy in front of him and walk away for a second to do whatever...we have soft mats for him in case he falls over, which he still does on occasion. He really has a great personality. He will just laugh non-stop with you, and is ticklish under his arms and on his tummy. He is really starting to "get interested" with toys and that's a lot of fun too. At first, he would just look at stuff, but now he has certain items that he smiles when he sees. He loves this little star thing where you stack the stars up. He cant stack them yet, but has figured out if you take them off it makes music, and if you press the top of the toy it plays music too. We had his 6 month appt last week and he had to get lots of shots again, and had another ear infection...sounds like tubes might be in our future...ugh. We are on our third antibiotic for the ears. Hopefully this one will work! I have been doing a lot of research about ear infections, and so I have been trying to do some of the suggestions to see if they help. We shall see. Also, at his doctor's appt we were giving the go ahead for the 2nd and 3rd foods, including meat. I have decided that Mac isn't going to eat meat until he is much older, so I will have to substitute meat with something that has the iron that he needs that he could get from the meat. So far he has enjoyed all that he has been fed, except green beans. I will try those again later. He especially loved the bananas and sweet potatoes. I am excited about his growing diet because that will make it much easier for us while we are on the "go" Before if I forgot a bottle I was in trouble, but now if we are out, there are foods that he could eat if he was hungry, and snacks that I can keep in his diaper bag that he can eat in case of an unprepared emergency.
Anyway, here are some pictures of the little guy. As you can see in picture #3, we have an advanced child....ha!
