Ready, get set, go!

Yesterday at my weekly appointment I was scheduled for an U/S before I saw the doctor. Baby Mac was tipping the scales at 8 lb 4 oz. He got this confused look about what to do with me, since I was not progressing at all. Should he schedule an induction or wait? Well he finally said “well I guess we will schedule it for next week on your due date” Well, Dr. Phillips and I had been going back and forth as far as my due date went. I told him it was the 8th and he said it was the 15th. I said “so you mean my due date or yours??” He looked at the chart and then at the U/S and said “well I guess you knew all along.” Looks like he was more in line for the 8th! HA! Told him so! He didn’t want to wait until “his” due date because the baby on average grows .5lbs a week at this point and he didn’t want to risk me having a baby over 9 lbs. So I am going in next Wednesday at 3 and starting the induction part sometime early Thursday morning. I am actually 1st on the list because they don’t have any rooms available Thursday so if no one scheduled goes early then I will go on Thursday and deliver Friday.

Wade and I are so excited and reality has REALLY set it. I mean obviously we knew we were about to have a baby very soon, but having a date that is the latest he could come is surreal. In less than a week we are going to be parents. It is crazy to think about!

I have my camera packed now and we are planning on taking a laptop to pass the time for Wade, so we will be updating soon after his arrival. Please pray that everything goes smoothly and that the baby arrives healthy and I stay healthy throughout the process!!!
