It's Christmas time!

I LOVE Christmas!!! How could you not, right? Well, this Christmas season sure has been fun and exciting! I might have mentioned before, that Julie and Mary Frances have been in Montgomery since before Thanksgiving while Jeremiah has started working in Alliance, NE. He is looking for a house for them, so instead of facing the Alliance temps, they decided to spend some time  home with us! It has been SO MUCH FUN  being able to watch Mac and Mary Frances play. They get along pretty well. Mary Frances doesn't understand the fact that Mac doesn't really understand her "commands." She is so sweet to him, always telling him "it's ok Mac" when he gets upset and they both get really excited to see each other everyday.Cousins Powell Anne and Trace are in town right now, so I was able to get one of the three "big" kids. Trace was already asleep. Powell Anne is sick, so she didn't really want to be photographed but let me take one anyway.  Last night, I captured the progression of what happens when Mac touches something of hers. She doesn't like to be touched unless she is in the mood, so if Mac gets too close, she has a moment...

Let me make a note, that after she screamed, she grabbed his hand and pried it open to see if he had any raisins in there.

Sunday night we headed to the Live Nativity at Baptist East. They moved it out of Wynridge this year, and it was again, wonderful!

Our second try, this year, with Santa turned out a LITTLE better than last. Mary Frances went first, and she was so good, that I think that helped Mac. He cried for a second but then got over it. Unfortunatly, his eyes were a little red for his picture.

We had Dozier Christmas in the Country on Sunday, and Mac got a Thomas the Train backpack. That is the only movie he likes and asks for. He loves saying "Choo-choo" and says "on" and points to the TV in the car when we get in. Needless to say, he hasn't put his backpack down yet!

We had the 1st Annual Gingerbread House contest. Guess who took home 1st place with the nativity scene??? Thank you pintrest! Mac really enjoyed eating all the gumdrops and other candy that he could get his hands on!

  1. Reed loves Thomas the Train too! What's the deal with Thomas and toddler boys?! He loves "Ta-too" (Thomas) and says choo-choo. Mainly he just loves the theme song. He wanders off once the main part of the story gets going. He's getting some Thomas bath toys (which I foresee him playing with and carrying with him wherever he goes) and Thomas fork/spoon set from Santa. Aunt Mal is getting him a rolling backpack (not Thomas). Christmas is so fun now with the excitement of a toddler! :)
