DIY Table

That title made me sound crafty, right? Well, I am not...But my lovely husband Wade is. We have been talking a lot about redecorating some of the rooms in our house, most specifically our sunroom. Our house has this GREAT sunroom, but the location of it is kind of odd. We have a den, and a formal living and dining room, so this sunroom is literally an extra room. Right now. it houses a table where we eat most of our meals, and a couch that has been in the family for 9 LONG years. Let's just say it has made its rounds to Tuscaloosa and back. And it is kinda large for the space because it has an attached footstool you can only use it one way, and that way causes us not to be able to open our french doors...oh I know...with all the world problems this is what I am focused on?? ANYWAY, here is what I am working with, and I'll show you some inspiration pictures.

Great space for a party...but who has parties 365?? We need this to be practical people!

If you look behind Mac, you can see how the couch extends in front of one of the doors.

Another view of the large sunroom.

Ok, so thanks to Pintrest (if you are following me, you will notice that I pin, A LOT...I have a very bad short term memory so that website is great for me!)

Here is a table that I LOVE. I wanted a large table that could go by this buffet. Right now, the table we have, that isn't pictured, goes in front of the random base cabinets along the back wall.

That puppy is on SALE at RH for $2245. Well for about $100, Wade built me an exact copy! We Wade hasn't stained or sanded it yet, but you can see what has been done so far.

The next project in my head goes along with the cabinets along the wall. Here is the inspiration picture...

Basically, I want Wade to whip up some build bookshelves to go above the base cabinets. This will require closing in the windows that are there. Of course it has to be more complicated than what I pictured. Anyway, then we'll move the TV from over the big buffet and put it in the bookshelves, or in front, and then get a couch (and say bye-bye) to Wade's old college one, and get some chairs recovered, and call it a day! This all seems to easy in my mind...

There is a lot more things that I would like to be done, but for now, I am trying to stick with one area and get it looking how I want it, before moving to the next room! We shall see! Oh the joy's of getting antsy to get things accomplished during tax season!
