What a week/weekend

Well, Thursday tax season officially ended! I was so excited that I have gotten 3 of those under my belt. This one was especially tough for me. A little due to the workload, and a little due to the pregnancy. Thursday after I left work, Wade and I headed to Birmingham because we had an early morning flight to Houston on Friday morning. Thursday night we ate at the Melting Pot as my celebration meal. Wade really did not want to go, but I looked at the Big Night Out menu and it sounded DELICIOUS! It was a tropical, Hawaiian theme, and I just love all flavors tropical. So, after much persuasion, Wade and I went in. Let me just tell you, not only was I right that it was wonderful, Wade even said that was the BEST experience he had ever had at the Melting Pot. (I win!) After we stuffed our faces, we went to my Aunts to get a short night sleep. Friday we went to the airport and started our weekend journey. I should note, that we 9 times out of 10, do not check our bags. Well, Wade “forgot” that his gigantic pocket knife was in his bag he was carrying….as you can imagine Wade got to go check his bag, and go through security again…ha.

Friday when we arrived in Houston, we pretty much just laid around as I was trying to get some rest that I hadn’t had since Jan 1. Friday night I went to a surprise bachelorette party for Hunter Jean. She was so surprised and had a big group of people fly in from all over to help her celebrate. We had a really fun time Friday night!

Saturday was party prep/party day. Julie did a GREAT job with Mary Frances’ birthday party. We had way too much fun! We had a little complication with the cake, but it all got worked out thank goodness! I was completely worn out again Saturday night. I’ll have to post some pictures when Julie sends me some. I was the photographer-but with her camera. Mary Frances wouldn’t touch her “smash” cake. Mom is 0-2 in the grandkids getting messy category. We said we would start practicing early with Mac so that there would defiantly be a show come 1st birthday time! However, I think him being a boy might give us a slight advantage…

Sunday we went to church with Julie and family, then we had to get ready to head home. We had a great time until we left to come back home. I wish I could have stayed a week longer! But hey, I was thankful not to have to work at all for three days in a row!

The next few weekends are going to be super busy for me. I thought all during tax season that it would be a good idea to “go go go” after April 15th until I cant travel anymore. Well, I am just worn out thinking about all of our adventures.
