4 months

We headed to the Dr's office yesterday for our 4 month appt. Mac was such a trooper the whole time. He weighed 15 lb 1.3 oz and he was 25 1/2 inches long. His little head is actually rather large as it measured in the 90th percentile...I hope that is an indicator of a big brain....Wade told me not to get too excited as he has a big head....ha.

After the check up he had to get the shots. He was a bit fussy before the shots (as Mr. Mom forgot his diaper bag which meant no food and it was time to eat!!!) so when he got pricked he screamed. He was fine by the time we put him in the car seat, and was asleep by the time we got home. We got the "all clear" to start the rice cereal so me being so impatient wanted him to have some that night! Not a good idea. He wasn't feeling very well so trying to shove rice cereal with a spoon in his mouth didn't work. I was ok with the idea that he was going to have to "learn" how to eat this, but Wade just didn't understand that. He couldn't figure out why he wouldn't just eat a huge spoonful and kept saying "he must not be ready" That irritated me. I finally looked at Wade and said "how long did it take you to learn to write?" He looked confused, and I said "Wade, Mac isn't going to learn to eat from a spoon in 3 minutes, just like you didn't know how to write in 3 minutes, its OK!" So I just added some to the rest of his bottle and let him finish it that way. I think I'll try this weekend, probably in the morning when he is really hungry and see how it goes again. Regardless of the fail, I got some pictures of the attempt. Here are some from my cell.

Here is he when he got home from the doctor. He passed out on my bed.

Here we go!
Wade took this. Poor child somehow got this practically up his nose!
