Today I had the 2nd official dr's appointment. Only having them once a month makes for a long 4 weeks. Also, the fact that I am not "feeling very pregnant" (which I shouldn't be complaining about) makes me a little worried sometimes. However, today, my worry was put to rest as I was able to hear Baby Mac's little heartbeat. I am very glad that at this point I have not rented a Doppler because as I was lying on the table I couldn't hear anything. I mean its a loud noise, but nothing that sounded like a heartbeat...so of course I am panicking inside when she says "do you hear it?" to which I respond, "oh that's it" and she says yes. So, PRAISE THE LORD! I might rent one later on, but I see no way that I could make one work on myself at this point.
Anyway, we had a great new years. We spent the day at the Greenhouse with family and it was a blast as usual! We always have the best time when we get to go there and of course the food is delicious! Saturday afternoon and Sunday we spent cleaning out the now office and rearranging furniture. We were able to get the room completely empty so I could clean it really good, then we filled it back up with a porta-crib, swing, bouncer, glider, bumbo seat, car seat, diapers galore, etc. It was really fun putting all the baby stuff together! I had NO idea how much stuff a baby needs, but I was told my Mama D that all of that stuff isn't even for the actual nursery but rather for downstairs where we will "hang" with the baby...but we are going to keep it there for now.
We are leaving on Wednesday for California! I am so excited!!! 1) the atmosphere will be amazing and 2) I get to hang with Emily more! We picked up a Mark Ingram jersey, that I will be wearing game day (JK) to get autographed so I really hope we can find him...we have a little advantage because Clints girlfriend Paige is a trainer and will hopefully be able to tell us the best time to meet the team in the lobby! I am also getting Elijah (my nephew) a little shirt that hopefully McElroy can sign since he is from Texas. I think Elijah will like that!
Anyway, I can't wait for this week! I know it will be amazing! Last big trip until the baby comes, I suppose!
I wouldn't bother renting a Doppler, like you said you would probably just worry more. Have a great trip...I'm confused though, I always thought yall were Auburn fans?? Enjoy your time, the weather will certainly be better out there!!
