Long weekend

This weekend was very exhausting. Between all that I did and pregnancy fatigue, I am just flat out tired! Friday night was our pink and blue party. We stayed up way to late after that but for good reason. Wades brother Hampton and his wife Nicole who live in Ocean Springs, MS had come up for the weekend and stayed around to chat after the party. It was good though because we don't get to see them very often so it was good to catch up face to face. Saturday morning I had to go to work thanks to tax season. I worked for a few hours but was ready to hit the road around 1:30. I went over to mom and dad's and rested for a little while. Then mom and I started our adventure of looking for fabric for the nursery! I was so excited about this, until I couldn’t find anything I liked! I was so disappointed. I feel like places only had stuff for little girls (which mom said when she and Julie looked everything was for little boys….) Anyway, I took a couple of swatches home to study, but decided that I didn't really like them. Oh well. Then we went to Storkland and found the cutest Christmas outfit for Baby Mac's first Christmas! Mom and I found a few other things, and it is just so exciting to see Baby Mac's closet starting to have things in it! I ordered a few things online too and I cant wait to see them once they arrive and hang them up in the closet. This baby is going to be dressed better than me! Oh well. By Saturday night I was exhausted. I was going to go to bed super early, but then decided I would be nice and wait on Wade to get home from Tuscaloosa. I watched "The Pregnancy Pact" on Lifetime (very disappointing) but I passed out probably 30 min's before he got home. Oops! Sunday we went to church and then had lunch with my parents and Lee and Will Sellers and family. I cannot believe how old the kids are now! Arthur was DRIVING his own car! I thought Caroline was still in 1st grade. She is in 5th! Oh my gosh! I cannot believe how old they are! I swear I don't feel that old at all, but now that I realize kids I babysat while they were in diapers can drive, I am starting to feel old! Sunday afternoon we just were lazy and I got in bed super early because I was exhausted and knew this week would be exhausting too. One good thing that happened Sunday was I found some cribs online that had some cute bedding and I was able to find a few I really liked. I think I have it narrowed down to one, but I still have some options incase I cant find the fabric to work. I can't wait until Julie comes home and we get the crib and other stuff and start doing the nursery. I have a changing table and bookshelf/knickknack holder thingy (I have no idea what its called) that I love and I cant wait to find a crib and rocker that goes with the décor. I guess I'll have to find other things for the room too, but I will probably collect those as we go. Hopefully I'll have time to frequent some antique shops before the baby comes and find some neat stuff for the nursery. I have a vision of what I want it to look like, so hopefully I can make this happen. Of course, my interior designer (Wade) keeps telling me this is "my project" but I need his help so he will have to help me as we start putting this stuff together.

This week is probably going to be pretty boring. Nothing exciting is supposed to happen and I will be super busy during this last week of January with work. I have my next doctors appointment on Feb 1st so that should be fun. Sometimes I love when I look at my calendar and it is literally empty for the week! Anyway, I guess this is all until after my appointment. Here's to a great work filled, social calendar empy week!
