We had a fun weekend! Saturday morning I had to work but I left for a little consignment shop adventure number 3! I went to the Kids Carousal and found a few more things. The two outfits mom purchased puts us to 100 even…. Obnoxious I know. I love clothes, so naturally this child will have a lot!
Saturday night was my friend Hunter's engagement party. She lives in Houston so I don’t get to see her very often anymore so it was fun to have her in town and get to celebrate her engagement! And I should note that after her wedding in June she will be moving to Atlanta which is MUCH closer so that’s good too. It was also fun to get to see people from high school that I don't get to see very often even though we live in the same city. Tax season really puts a damper on your social life!
Well, Mama D gave me a deadline of March 1st for Baby Mac's name. (For those of you who know my mother, this is not unusual) She claimed it was because she had to order something by March 1st for some discount or something….always an agenda, huh Franny? Just kidding! Anyway, we had decided on his name a while ago, actually prior to being pregnant but we were having a little trouble with what to call him. His full name will be Wade Wilson, and Wade just didn’t want two "Wades" because he thought it would be confusing, understandable, so what would we call him? Well everyone thought "Mac" since we had been calling him Baby Mac since day 1. Wade and I had actually discussed calling a baby Mac a long time ago, but since I got pregnant, we realized the importance of a name so we wanted to make sure that is really what we wanted. But, after much discussion, and other input from family members, we have decided that Mac will be his nickname. Now get to ordering Mama D! ha!
This morning I had my usual checkup. Again, they need to just weigh you, let you pee, and do the heartbeat and let you go. I always have NO questions for the Dr. and I feel like I just wasted my time waiting on him. Today I decided I would ask a question. I asked about traveling (since I have a few out of town weddings near my due date and I enjoy going to the lake/beach during the summer) Well he said I could go anywhere up to 35 weeks but then after that had to stay within 60 miles of the hospital. Dang, there goes two weddings, and a beach trip (however the lake is still good, phew)….Oh well. I guess this is why they tell you do "have fun" before you get pregnant and travel, etc. Well now I am thankful we did, because you have to make quite a lot of sacrifices even before the baby comes! I know it will all be worth it in the end though! I did notice that our wedding anniversary was 3 days before my no traveling limit, so hopefully we can do something for that, the REAL last hurrah…
I go back in 2 weeks for another ultrasound. I cannot wait to see Baby Mac again! (I will probably call this child Baby Mac until he can talk and tells me he isn't a baby anymore, it just seems so natrual now!)
Cute name! And I NEVER had any questions either and always felt like it was so pointless to sit in the waiting room to go pee and weigh. Oh well!!
ReplyDeleteOk, glad I am not the only one....I should be thankful though because the last two times I went I never even sat in the waiting room. They sent me right to pee then as I walked out the door they put me in a room. (The first appointments were MUCH longer....)
