Traumatic week that ended well

Last Thursday my mother calls me to tell me that Lucy, our old time family dog was missing. It seemed rather odd, as when Lucy is let out, she always comes to the door and lets you know she is ready to come in (barking non stop) Mom said that due to her age, etc it was probably one of those things where she went into the woods to pass away. Apparently dogs have some instinct about this. Well knowing Lucy's age and condition I am actually ok with the idea of her passing away but what really got to me was the fact that she was MISSING. My parents are surrounded by an 18 hole golf course and trees, woods, animals and more so it was very likely that we would never find her. Well asking my mother if she was wearing her collar, she reluctantly told me she was not, BUT she was wearing a hot pink sweater used to keep her warm. Two good things about that: 1) if she was in the woods, she would be easily spotted, 2) if someone did find her, they would know she was some ones even though she was not wearing her collar. So of course my hormonal self was very upset about this and I cried a few times Thursday night, Friday morning noon and night, and then Saturday morning. Well I was downstairs at work on Saturday and missed three phone calls and a text. Lucy had been found, ALIVE! A man had found her Friday and she stuck around, so he called the Humane Shelter, who my parents had already called and they called my parents! I was so excited that she was home. She hurt her leg a little, but it was not to bad. I was just so happy to have her back!!!

Here is a picture of the precious baby I took on Sunday during our reunion! It is a little dark, but you can see the famous pink sweater (with sequens)

Also, this weekend, Wades grandmother, Gam, had a TIA (mini stroke) and was taken to the hopsital in Sarasota, FL but was realeased that night. She sounds like she is doing ok at this point but we are still praying that it wont happen again!!

As for baby news, not too much going on. I go back on Tuesday for my ultrasound, which will hopefully be good. I also picked up my baby bag, the Juicy one I wanted while we were in B'ham on Saturday afternoon. I have drawn a picture of the closet I am hoping Wade will make for me using the current closet in the baby's room. Hopefully it get done quickly so I can put all the stuff we already have in it and in the order I want….We'll see.
